I've moved from Boulder Street Gallery in COS to Bella Art & Frame in Monument

After having my watercolor paintings hang in Boulder Street Gallery for a year, I decided to leave this gallery.  The year was a good one for sales for me, I sold 3 paintings while there, one of which was my most expensive sale!  But I live up near Monument and the drive down to the gallery in Colorado Springs, especially at night, was becoming a dreaded event.
So now, the only gallery that is representing me is Bella Art & Frame, located at 183 Washington St.  Monument, CO.  I am about a 10 minute drive to this gallery.  Coincidentally,  the gallery is is a building which used to be where my church, Tri-Lakes United Methodist Church, was located!  I feel this is a special place.  I have 11 original watercolors hanging there and have sold one painting.
The Bella Art & Frame phone number is 719-487-7691 and their web site is bellaartandframe.com   If you are in the area, please come to the gallery, there are several local artists displaying their art there.  It is on the corner of 2nd Street and Washington St.

Featured Artist at the Boulder Street Gallery

For the month of June, I am one of the featured artists at the Boulder Street Gallery.  I have 6 paintings in the South window and 3 have been reduced in price to enable the buyer to re-frame
them if they choose.  The Gallery is open Tues - Sat and on 5 June, the First Friday, it will be open from 5 - 8.

New Painting - Fancy Shawl Dancing

This is another new painting from the annual drumming and dancing competition PowWow in Aspen.  I thought this girl was so graceful and her shawl was just beautiful.  She was having such a fun time dancing around that I knew I would paint her.  I tried to capture her movement as she was circling around and around.

In late December, 2014, my painting  "Aspen Mountain Flowers" sold at the Boulder Street Gallery.  This was one of my favorite paintings and I was a little sad when I heard that it had sold.  But the money I got for it will buy more watercolor supplies so I can create more paintings.  I hope the person who bought it will enjoy it as much as I did painting it.  Here is a picture of that painting.

New Painting - Dancing with Hoops

I just finished a new painting - Dancing with Hoops.  In April, 2014, the annual Native American powwow-style dance and drumming exhibition was held in Aspen.  My son works in Snowmass - just outside Aspen -  and every year he sets up the speakers and microphones for this exhibition and donates his time for their sound.  I went over to see it and helped my son a little with the mics and cables - after the powwow we were invited to have dinner with the performers.  This painting is from one of many pictures I took during the dancing.
