Iguanas juried into CO New Trends Show

I just found out that my painting, "Sunbathing Beauty", has been juried into
the Colorado Watercolor Society's New Trends Show.  The reception will be
Friday, September 7, 2012, from 5 till 9 at the Madden Museum in Denver.

                                                                                     

Aspen Mountain Flowers

I've been wanting to paint this from a photo I took over in Aspen several years ago.  I just finished it after working on if for several months.  It was very complicated with all the bricks, the flowers and the window that reflected the mountains in the distance, cars and scenes from close to the building, and through the glass, lots of items in the store.

Kauai Surf Paintings

One year ago, my son and I were on the beach at Kauai, HI.  I took lots of photos and finally got around to painting 2 of them.  This is the first time I've ever painted the ocean - it brought back fond memories.

Finally finished the Iguana painting

After many changes, I finally finished the painting of 2 iguanas.  The title is "Sunbathing Beauty"  It was a lot of fun to paint the back-lite spines along his back and the flap under his chin.

3 Paintings Juried into the Small Works Show


The 3 miniature paintings below were recently juried into the
 CO Watercolor Society's "Small Works Show", currently
 held at the Armory at the Brighton Cultural Center in
 Brighton, CO.  The show will be up until November 20.

 People's Choice Award!

Painting Juried into the CO New Trends Show

My painting, Red Vedavoo Trail, has been juried into the Colorado Watercolor Society New Trends Show in Denver, CO.  The show is in the Co-Art Gallery, 846 Santa Fe Drive and the opening reception is 16 September from 5:00 till 8:30.  This show will hang until 24 September.

Mom, Wait for Us

 My painting, Mom Wait for Us, has just been juried into the Southern Colorado Open Show.  This show is open to all media and all artists residing in Southern CO - East, West and South of the El Paso/Douglas County Line.
  The show was juried by Tim Deibler and will be in the High Vista Fine Art Gallery in Pueplo, CO,  from September 2 through October 29.
